Join us for a complete introduction to the overlocker (or serger).

Learn the many ways you can use an overlocker - from neatening raw edges for a professional finish, to sewing rolled hems, knits, jersey and gathering.

Tackle rethreading when you want to change colour, adjusting the tension and troubleshooting tips.

This class is ideal if you are considering purchasing an overlocker but aren't sure if it's for you, or if you have a machine and want to build up your confidence by learning some basics skills.

We restrict the number of places in this workshop to ensure that you get lots of help.

We provide:
• Janome 6234XL Overlockers
• Scissors, tools and threads
• Practice fabrics
• Shopping advice if you are looking to purchase a machine
• Refreshments including home-made cake!
• Friendly help, guidance and encouragement!

You need to bring:
• Just yourself and maybe a pen and notepad

Course duration: 2 hours

Skill Level - Complete Beginner
Aimed at someone who has never sewn before or someone who is very rusty and wants to build their confidence up again
