Sewing Techniques for Dressmaking

£40.00

In this relaxed and informative class we will cover some of the most useful techniques that will help you to feel more confident to start dressmaking.

We will look at plain seams, French seams and seam allowances. Making a buttonhole, a centred zip and an invisible zip. We’ll also show you how to use bias binding around a curve.
We will discuss the different types of sewing projects that these techniques could be used for and how they can be applied.
Also, as it is always nice to make something to take away with you, we will be making a small lined, zipped bag using a bound seam and centred zip technique.
